Just saw these strips on ReefStrips.com and was curious if anyone has tried them. See easier to install than ecoxotic stunner strips and have the price... Just dunno how many to buy!

Welcome to R2R!

I wouldn't expect much from this product, truthfully. LED rope lights have been around for ages as undercabinet or walkway lighting. I haven't seen this particular product in person, but it doesn't look/claim to be any different. If you're just looking for a moonlight, it might be enough. Just don't expect it to be any sort of replacement for regular lighting. It's only 5W per foot of rope.

(And don't stunner strips take two screws to install?)

hmm.. I just looked at the stunners online, and they're only 6W per foot. For some reason, I thought they were more powerful than that. Maybe it's a wash.

One of my friends ran ecoxotics on his setup and he was using them as dedicated light. When he set them up they provided great color and made everything really pop. But in the end if it were my tank, I would only use them to add supplemental color. If you read the product description on marine depot it says to use it to add light, color, and shimmer.
