A frag of bonsaii fell into my sand bed a little while ago and I did not notice for a few days so it killed the base of the coral. The top half has been doing fine for a few weeks now, but there hasn't been any growth downwards to make a new base. Should I break the living tissue off the dead base and glue it to a new frag? Or will it eventually grow over its skeleton?
