Hi everyone! I am new to the reefing community. I have a 20g long nano in my dorm room at The University of Findlay.
Anyway, I just wanted to warn every new reefer of the harms of using AQUEON water conditioners.
I did a good 20% water change and used my "awesome" cheap new water conditioner.... came home from class to soaking wet carpet and a very low water level.:embarassed:
Lesson learned. Something about the way the conditioner reacts with the water causes the micro bubbles in your skimmer not to burst correctly. So, the cup foams and foams until it overflows and water pours out onto your university owned wooden dresser
lol.
Well I hope everyone can learn from my mistakes the way I have.
My suggestions: STICK WITH PRIME! It treats more water even though it is so expensive, and you save hassle in the long run.
Its going to take me a dang month of water changes to fix this....
Thanks everyone!
Jess
