Started from tiny frags and now it’s covered. Pretty but aggressive.

Had a Hydra 32 and slow growth. Then it died. Now 2 ai blade grows and one glow and everything took off.

It looks great! How are the background and walls so black and not showing the lighting reflection. Is the pic edited or is it really like that

It’s like coral in a black hole lol. Don’t get me wrong I dig it

honestly thats why i wont keep any encrusting corals, they are all super invasive in that way.
always thought cyphastria looked cool but would never own one because of how fast they grow.

pretty tank! i haven't gotten encrusting corals for this very reason, though I'm looking into getting some starry night psammacora.

Uncropped unedited photo iPhone 12 Pro yellow and orange filter.

Thanks! I don’t normally use both. I’ll give it a shot
The black hole look is what I love. but!! snails tend to mess it up. Wish I could figure out how to make the bottom of the aquarium blacker. Hate running sand, and Mats trap detritus. I mold plastic to the touch points of my rocks to sit on the glass. And just have the black mat under the tank. And a black back wall.

when you upgrade to a bigger tank (it happens to all of us :grinning-face-with-sweat:) get a custom one and have them install a black bottom pane the same as the back wall. :smiling-face-with-sunglasses:

Figured I should post it before we tear down the rock and make a negative space aquascape and move to branching sps and a few torches near the bottom.
