The biggest danger for a new or old reefers is to ask a question hoping for verification of your own ideas...not really wanting to hear what may disagree with your preconceived notions...in this category is talking yourself into skimping on a new fish's time in QT...I have often done this but at least I get in a good 2 or 3 weeks in copper before giving in to that urge...even now, my tailspot blenny has been 2 weeks in QT...so I'm beginning to rationalize...will I give in?...time will tell...

LOL. Mine have been in for 3 1/2 weeks. I am really fighting the urge to move them to my fully cycled DT now because the daily water changes to manage ammonia in QT are getting old fast :p (The last resident of my fully cycled QT that I planned to move to my DT ended up with brook, so I ended up without a cycled QT or a way to seed a new one safely :( )

3 1/2 weeks...I would do it if all health looks good and the QT is failing...more chance of problems from a bad QT at this stage...

Problem is I am keeping DT fallow *just in case* I ended up transferring something from the infected QT to the now cycled DT. I know I moved 2-3 fist sized rocks (before I knew my fish was sick, of course). I just don't know how long the bad stuff will survive without a host, and it makes no sense to go through the quarantine process to ensure healthy fish, just to end up infecting them through my impatience. It's hard though because I know the DT is stable, and I know the QT is not. :(

Ask one of the experts under fish health...they probably will have your answer...

Yeah, they recommended 11 weeks fallow *just in case* there was something other than brook. Brook is supposed to last no more than 6 weeks. I know there wasn't any signs of ich, so I am just going to be patient for now unless the quarantine stress starts to outweigh any potential DT negatives :/
