My bi color angel has a cloudy eye for 3 days now. I set up a quarantine tank last night. Im curious what medicine I need to get to help him out. Im assuming its a bacterial infection. Closes place to get meds is petco as well.

This is likely a result of scratch or injury. It is treatable and should be performed in a quarantine setting using ethromyacin ( Maracyn/Maracyn 1)
Assure good water quality is maintained as well as good diet

I just set up qt last night. Was told not worry about cycling tank since meds will kill the good bacteria anyways. Which maracyn should I try to get?

+1 on what @vetteguy53081 said. As long as the fish is still feeding and the other eye isn’t cloudy, this is likely a minor injury.

So should I worry about putting him in qt tank. Everything seems fine. I was just worried it might get worse?

IMO - if you have a QT handy, can catch the fish up safely and move it over, treating it with Erythromycin would be a good idea. If you have to set up a new QT, you might want to just wait to see if things get worse...

Well I went ahead and got everything for the qt. Unfortunately the only thing for bacterial infection has was the anti fungal fritz and the bottle I got. According to reviews it does the trick and should see progress in about 2 days.

How many times do you do that? Not real sure how to do that either. I could google it. And he is in qt right now. See how he progresses in next couple days.

The FW dip idea is to screen for Neobenedenia flukes. That's why I asked if only one eye is cloudy - with Neobenedenia, both eyes would be. In this case, the extra handling for the FW dip would just have the potential to cause further injury, so I wouldn't do that.

So he has been in the qt for 10 days. I used api fin and body cure which worked well. He does still have a white line in his eye but it hasnt changed since day 6. So I was thinking of putting him back in the display tank. Whats the best way to do that?

Is it eating well and acting normally? Is so, you should be able to move it back ok. Just avoid getting its spines caught in the net.

Yes everything seems to be normal. So dont need to do a rinse of any sort? Just a qt to dt transfer?

As long as there isn’t a difference in water quality, you can just move it over. If there is a salinity or temperature difference, you would need to acclimate it.
