Reached out to a new lfs about reef safe wrasses

they replied they had a lunar wrasse, a six line, carpenters and a bi color

i thought lunar was not safe, six line are nice but too aggressive for me

anyone know what a bi color wrasse is

i have never heard or come across one, could be a name for another type

This is a good read... it looks like they can sometimes be obnoxious in their cleaning habits and require a lot of food.

Definitely hold out for a fish you actually want. I like leopard wrasse and some of the more peaceful Halichoeres like radiants.

I do like the leopard

Any experience

Poor shippers but if you find one that appears healthy (no pinched head/belly) and is eating in the LFS then they are generally easy and hardy once established. They sleep in the sand bed so that is a must. Inspect them closely for any mouth damage before purchase.

My 6 line wrasse has been a model citizen in my tank! I do see a lot of people having troubles with aggression, maybe mine is just special

This is a bi color wrasse?

That is NOT a bicolor cleaner. Common names suck. That is a juvi Hemigymnus melapturus I think??? They can grow large. Probably a FOWLR fish.
