BiColor Angel

Recently got a bicolor angel and shes not eating. Getting a little worried. What do you feed your bicolor?

How long have you had this fish?
What foods have you tried on it?

With Centropyge angelfish, collection with cyanide is a common issue.

How was it behaving at the store before you bought it? This is one species that I won't buy unless I see it eat at the store, or unless it was captive raised (rare). The reason why is that these are often caught with cyanide, and that in turn leaves the fish severely damaged internally, and many of those (40 to 60%) will die within the first 40 days of being in captivity.

The fish unfortunately died over the weekend. She still had full color so I don't have an explanation other than she didn't eat much over the week that I had her. I fed LRS nano reef, NanoV Soft Freeze Reef Caviar, Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef, Mysis Shrimp Freeze Dried, and New Life Spectrum There A+ Pellets. Quite the selection of food in my opinion. There must have been something else wrong that I couldn't see.

Sorry to hear.

That’s the problem with fish that were collected with cyanide, they may look good, but they don’t eat well and die within a few weeks due to organ failure. The mortality rate in some species reach’s 60% in the first 40 days after importation.
