just got a new addition and wanted to get some tips for this guy so the questions are what do you guys feed yours how long have you had it and how does it thrive in your tanks I have read online and researched for weeks before buying but want to get some more opinions THANKS GUYS AND GALS
 
Mine is very easy to care for like nori flake pellet and mysis so pretty much anything very peaceful and doesn't bother any of my corals hope this helps you out

thanks it does I feed the same so far hasnt ate nori but mysis and brime it seems intrested in just hasnt became a pig yet lol
 
Mine started eating nori when it saw my tangs go after it
 
well I put a drop of organic garlic juice in with some mysis shrimp and bam the bicolor is killing it. Now to figure out how to get him to eat nori lol any tips?
 
When I first started out in the 90's we used to call them Die-colors as thats what they all did...over time better collection practices it is now much easier to find a healthy one. My current one is 6 years old about 6 inches and rules the roost. He has never picked on any coral and will eat anything you put in the tank. Flakes pellets frozen eats it all! Great fish:)

thats great to here I hope mine does well it just swims in and out of the rock work he looks happy wish me luck lol
 
This is an interesting read. When I started this hobby about a year ago this was the fish that I most wanted. After researching I decided against one (even passed on a beautful one that had been traded to my LFS after 2 years in another customers tank) due to the risk of eating corals. Reading this had made me doubt my decision.

he nips and pinapple sponge but thats it so far I have lps and sps zoas polys all those guys and so far so good picked him up for a steel 20 bucks couldnt pass it up I have been eyeing one for a while
