Has anyone ever seen a bi-color blenny act as a cleaner fish? My daughter said last night the yellow tang presented himself sideways by the rocks where the blenny likes to live and the blenny swam out and "nibbled at his fins" and then they both swam away. I didn't see it but it sounded like cleaning behavior. I hadn't observed any odd behavior before or after this incident and I don't think she's making it up. Have you ever see this in a blenny?

The only time my Tomini and Lawnmower Blenny get close to each other is to chase each other away from their patch of algae.

Lol! Maybe it was a tang/blenny "turf war". I didn't observe it but it seems the tang would have swum away faster and my daughter describe him hanging out for the blenny of it were a serious spat. I just introduced a new fish today so things are in a little bit of unheaval but I will watch more closely and see if I can observe it later.

I've seen some odd behaviour from my lawnmower with a clown! Did exactly what you discribed, only seen it once and it left me feeling very confused

Ah! At least my daughter is not alone in her observations. How odd. I will definitely
Add some neon goby cleaners if the tang is asking for it. :-)
