Seems minor and would heal on its own in most cases.
Someone else in your tank about his size?

Always a possibility if the mark just shows up and the fish still eats and behaves as normal.
Have a purple dottyback with a mark way more than that.
Completely healed in about 6 weeks or so, now, can tell at all.
