Can I use a 5 gallon bucket as a HT? I havent figured out how to get him out of the DT yet. He lives in a rock with a rock nem on it. I am hoping I can get him into another one I can remove.

You can, if you can keep it heated and filtered. A sponge filter with an airpump will be your best bet in that situation.

The only problem is your visibility is limited with buckets, storage containers.

I was brainstorming this morning. I am setting up a 10 gallon tank and got a HOB filter with a sponge. I have everything here now.

If I take the rock out of the water will the fish bail out of it? If you go near the tank he goes into the rock.

Hard to say. I've had them bail and I've had them hide in there. Same fish, different days.

Shake the rock. Ploop, He is in the hospital.
