So I had this system running for about 3 years now and just recently lost all my fish due to a burned out pump but now I have put a few coral in there and now there is a big algae outbreak I'm not sure what kind it is and I would like to have some advice to get rid of it
Water parameters a in excellent condition and right now I have a green star polyp some button polyps and a green mushroom

Hey man.......The algaes Im seeing are Cyanobacteria(Try to get a bigger skimmer), diatoms(Theyre good, within reason, snails love 'em).....Once you get your levels where they need to be, possibly use some phos-ban, make sure all your topoff water is ro/di, it will get better...Remember nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank.

Aha thanks I'm trying to get a phosban reactor and I'm going to get my own ro/di unit soon so I hope that helps

I agree with all the above. Most algae problems are caused by excessive nutrients. That can be from overfeeding and overstocking fish. Phosphates also can cause trouble also. Always use ro water it has no nutrients.

Thank you for the great advice iv been looking for different things I can do to battle all the nussance algae in my tank

I will tell you from personal experience that RODI water is a savior. I was using tap water for almost a year and never really saw negative effects, until I looked at my tank one day and saw 50% of my rocks covered in hair algae, that just kept spreading and soon smothered out parts of button polyp colonies I finally got an RODI filter and am starting to gain on the hair algae. I didnt take drastic measures and pull all my rock out and scrub it as I didnt want to lose the bacteria and especially the critters that my rock was bursting with so every couple weeks during water changes I pluck some out and slowly but surely I am noticing the gha dieing off. Its a slow process, but all the old growth is starting to get very dark and I have not noticed new growth since I started using RODI. You can get a relatively cheap RODI filter it all really depends on how much water you demand, for me I have a 75g tank, so I got a 75gpd 4 stage with pressure guage and flush kit from purelyh20 and I think it was 129 shipped. Spectrapure is another great RO filter manufacturer, and I promise that using RODI water will pay for itself in the long run by making your all your livestock more vibrant, and happy. I would suggest against trying to scrape off too much at once, especially if its still lively as you will just seed the water column with more gha spores thus growing more than you can keep up with.

I did the same thing myself. I had to pull rock out and scrub the algae off with a brush. Since using ro water and good skimming problem solved. Live and learn as they say.
