Big clam in smallish tank

Hi everyone
I’m loving my clams and they are doing well . My mate has a 20 cm maxima clam which is beautiful and he said he would give it to me for a bargain price . My question is I can’t put it in my 120 gallon because it’s fowlr with triggers etc etc . So it would have to go in my smaller tank I think it’s around 60 gallons ( 3.5 foot wide ) I would love to have it as a centre piece my only problem is I have seen other people with big clams say that “ if they close up quick enough they can shoot water out of the tank “ is this true ?
also any other problems you can think of ?

I have clams and so does the local fish store in very shallow water never seen it be a problem before.
