I was trying to spot feed my Wellsy and dropped a big 1/4 piece of scallop on my Pectinia. I was going to remove it, but it immediately grabbed on and started eating it. No way it can get it broken down and in its’ mouths...... is it ok to leave until a fish or something else takes it, or will the food sitting on it hurt it over time if something doesn’t take it?

I’m not too worried about a fish/crab irritating it, and I only have one of my 2 fish big enough to take it.

I wouldn't worry to much. Once it's done eating then it will let go and the flow should take it. If it's just sitting on the coral then try a turkey baster to remove it.

I turned my powerheads back on after 20 minutes and it almost lost it, but it held on for dear life!!!
