Big Jon's nano upgrade

One of my LFS's has a $5 coral bin that usually has stuff thats on its way out. I picked up these zoas that were closed up. After I dipped them they opened up to a pale pink color, and after 2 weeks they look like this. Very different than anything I have seen.

Another good day for my reef. I sold my first ever coral, plus some frags today. My first was a 2 head micromussa lord that is now 20+. It is a basic red on red and I wanted the room for a more unique color. The frags were just a couple purple stylos and 2 small bubblegum digis. I am a long way from a growout and frag tank, but it is definitely a plan for the future.

As part of my water change and maintenance I scraped the coraline algae off the back glass and overflow. What difference! It makes colors more vibrant. I also think I should have built at least one rock taller. I may pull some rock out of the fuge and add hieght to a portion of my rockwork if I get some time off work. The negative space is too even.

Heres the Mandarin already putting on weight from the white worms and TDO pellets. Big thanks to @Reef Nutrition for the extra small high quality pellets. This fish was so skinny and pale soon after I got it. It is definitely getting good color and getting chunky.

I heard from my lfs, Aquarium and Reptile Depot, that you are in the Bay Area. I live fairly close. Do you all allow visitors to check out your propagation systems?

Campbell is just our mailing address and office. Our farm is at a different, undisclosed location. Due to the proprietary nature of what we do, we don't allow visitors. I lovingly call this place Algae51. LOL

Sorry that we can't show you around. It really is an amazing place. 1.5 million gallons of phytoplankton is something to behold. :)

No worries. I understand the 'need to know' level security. Lol! See you all at Tyree's Coral Farmers Market.

Its the one year mark of this tank being wet. Got the Cannon DSLR out and am trying to learn how to become a photographer. Not photo of the month, but I hope to get there. Pica to come soon.

I did a thing today. These brackets are a proof of concept/alpha build. If they are out of the way and everything works well where it is I will build them out of white acrylic. I am hoping that the carbo calcium and doser will be more stabil

than kalk in the topoff. I am on top of the kalk adjustments but still get 0.1 to 0.3 swings in alk daily.

I came home from work to the sound of my emergency drain. I opened the ball valve, checked the filter sock and found my watchman goby...still alive! He was pale white and lethargic, but topfin up and able to move. I put him back in the tank, lowered the lights and flow and fed twice tonight. He has his color back and is guarding the pistol shrimp as usual.

I bet the Pistol takes care of him.
I think they have arguments like normal roommates. Once in a while the shrimp blocks the tunnel, and this is not the first time the goby made the trip into the sump.
