Big Scoly for $40 at LFS am I missing something

I thought these guys were like 1000's of dollars. The LFS has a huge scoly for $40. I am not super interested in them, mostly due to their price. Is there something I would be missing? Are there low-end scoly that sell for cheaper ?

It is definitely not lobophylia or fungia, just googled to confirm

I’ve never seen them for that cheap. I’ve always wanted a scoly but not willing to spend what they cost. For $40 I would definitely buy it.

the problem is I think they're ugly looking blobs and know absolutely nothing about them and don't have a spot in the sand bed that it would fit. It's like the size of a friggin soft ball

Go ahead and get one they are worth it! Of course thats always my approach which is why I got more coral than money
