looks like Uronema marinum, I'll let other more qualified people chime in.
There is very little known treatment-wise and cures are very rare. The disease is not likely to pass to other fish species, but you are unfortunately likely to experience this with any new chromis that enters the tank. Oftentimes you’ll want to quarantine chromis for a long period of time because once the disease gets into the display tank it can be very challenging to get out.Looks like one other chromis has it, spot is about 4 times smaller or it just hasn’t progressed. They hang on the bottom together now. So no treatment whatsoever? When you say they. Do you mean all? Or just 2 with spots? I ordered 5 more from bluezoo. Because they look so cool schoolong on top
So remaining 4 chromis and 5 which I just ordered are all doomed or there is a chance for most or at least some of them? It would really suck if I can’t have chromis since they quickly became some of my favorite fishThere is very little known treatment-wise and cures are very rare. The best you can do is isolate the remaining ones and keep them well fed and medicated in a quarantine tank. Don’t let the new ones you ordered come into contact with the old ones, which are likely actively infected. Although there’s no fallow period for uronema, you’re more likely to keep the new ones healthy by introducing them when there is no longer an active infection. Unfortunately, though, you may still notice them die off over time.So remaining 4 chromis and 5 which I just ordered are all doomed or there is a chance for most or at least some of them? So I need to catch 2 visually infected chromis and set up quarantine again? Omg 3rd time now. Ok thank you guys. I really like the way swim together actively on top and getting other fish to move moreI saved my chromis from uronema using Ruby Reef Rally
