Hey guys, I got a harem of red margin wrasses and the supernale who is 5” is just hanging doing nothing much

I had it in QT for 4-5 days where it would eat but it would dart and sometimes miss - but in the qt there was enough food going around that it would eat.

I didn’t see any visible parasites- but gave them a prazi 48 hour treatment, before I added them to
My display

Now that they are in my display the females are behaving normal. But the male is just hanging at the bottom. It does swim around or just stay stationary in the water column holding its Position. The other night with the lights out I came to check it out and it was swimming at night which I’ve never seen wrasse do.

I have fed and overfed and by the time it realizes food is there my other fish eat it all... it’s also fat so not malnourished.

Breathing is normal. No aggression from anyone

It’s now been 8 days since it arrived 4 in QT and 4 in the DT.

I prefer leaving it in the DT but if it continues down this path it will just weaken with time and not make it.

Any suggestions ?

It sounds like you did not properly qt them and this one may be more sick than the others and he may be getting bullied also as they don’t play nice together. I would take them out and put them through a proper qt procedure

No bullying the male is 5” and the females are 1.5” and the females are eating normally

Can I use Hikari metroplus with the focus from seachem ?

What color is his poop? White stringy?

^^ This; quarantining for only 4 days would not provide much benefit.

more of an observation than QT, where if i see any visual or erratic behaviour related to ick, flukes then i would keep them longer.... i prefer having them in the DT.. personal preference cause I've had better survivability in general by having fish in my DT.

has some to do with the QT not running continuously...so i take tank water and a bio brick to help

I will try the medicated foods and move the male back into QT so he doesnt need to compete for food...which atm he isn't able to keep up with

This is not a good plan if you are planning on having success with your fishes.
