doing a 8020 build stand and wondering if a 5 ft stand with 4ft tank is ok without support directly under tank ends? Going to add a corian top so load is more spread out

8020 ...... that extruded aluminum stuff? How big of a tank? Will the front and back of the tank be sitting over vertical supports?

Front and back will be supported by 1530, thinking of 4 ft tank (48x24x20) on 5 ft stand. Never seems to be enough room for all the stuff. Want to add dry compartment for electronics and 34 or 40" sump

Could just add 6-8" to end and leave tank offset so it will be over vertical support, always nice to have small work space. Kinda worried on visual appeal or lack there of with offset. Maybe just add additional vertical supports and center tank and be done with it, only money

Not sure how strong Corian is in sheer. It 'feels' to me like you'd be OK but I wouldn't personally do it. Might as well get a couple of cross pieces to put 6" from each end so the whole rim of the tank has 8020 under it.

I've worked with corian quite a bit. It's pretty flexible and typically is installed over a solid surface.
