the past 2-3 years have been good for chalice collectors... frags are getting somewhat cheaper than they use to, so that's good for all the frag collectors... anyway, just wanted to find out what's your biggest home grown chalice? how big / how many eyes was it when you got it? pls post a progression shot and how long it took to get to where it's at... this should be a good thread... :)

Wow very nice Marvin...
Why are there different versions of this guy... I have seen them very green with orange eyes and others just green with red eyes.. is it lighting or variations ?

Thank... :)

for the Orig ME, the more light you give it, the more the inner part becomes orang'ish... mine have always been on the sand bed so it stays pretty green for me... I tried to shade a little when I had it on the 28g but I noticed that it didn't expand as much as the part being lit...

see pic below... upper right side shaded...

I would love to see the huge BGM. It must be awsome.
What kind of flow do you have on them? Mine dont grow that fast. Do you direct feed them often?

Marvin, that is awesome! What are you feeding yours?
Thanks, Dave
I don't spot feed my corals, except the brains... but maybe the chalices benefit from the spot feeding by catching the stray left overs.... when I do spot feed the brains, it's formula 2 and/or Arctic pods... :)
