Hey all quick question of everyone’s favourite topic, lighting
I’m interested in building up a Red Sea XL300 as the limiting factor between the 200 and the 300 was lighting budget but the 200 might be cramped, and I’m focusing on sump space as my AIO is starting to be a pain to clean the fuge section
I’ve read a lot about shadowing etc, but am I not crazy to think a single Kessil 360x or XR15 might work for a coral centre and then only have low light corals on the fringes (or nothing at all worst case). I’m mostly focused on LPS and softies anyway
Any experience with either having slightly more spread for this application for stretching them to the limit in coverage?
That being said obviously can add another fixture later so this is just for the initial phase. I get that it’s not “ideal” but lights are expensive here in Aus and also trying to keep an eye on distributor presence/support
