My 125 is just not cutting it. I am now undergoing the process of upgrading my 125 into a 300+ gallon SPS dominant tank. I am new here and look forward to getting to meet the great group of people on this sight!
Tank is a 240 tall, dimensions are 96 x 18 x 31. 75g sump/refugium with a 40 gallon breeder plumbed underneath as a grow tank of sorts. The build will be pic intensive with videos here and there.

First thing i did was the stand, all that is left is the doors.

All that is left is the doors. I also went and installed a pond liner in the bottom of the stand as some sort of insurance:

I got my monster of a skimmer in today, He weighs in at a whopping 30 pounds... I also picked up the acrylic to make my Refugium.

I was having a hard time deciding on water movement. Since i am doing a SPS dominant tank i need a whole lot of water movement. I wanted 2 Mp60's but no way i could afford 2 of them at nearly 700 Dollars!! I have koralia now and do not care for them... So i decided on the New but already gone Jebao Wp40. I only got 2 to test out. If i like them i will be ordering 4 more maybe . I will keep you posted. I also glued the sump.

February 7th

Everything is going smooth. Just picked up the supplies for 2 part dosing. Will be testing my water to keep an eye on when my weekly water changes become inefficient at keeping my levels up. Did have a little hiccup with my skimmer...as one of the pumps decided to go out. Took a week to replace with a 98 dollar shipping charge... Here are some pictures!

We just put a full home video surveillance in. Now we have some older more generic wifi cameras left over...First thing to my mind was to use them for help with a little piece of mind when i am not home.(which is a lot) I can check it on my phone whenever i want. Best thing ever.
