Had some 5mm clear pipe left over from another DIY project ( more of which when I have properly tested it) and some 15mm white plumbing pipe the 5mm was shipped in so decided I could make a simple stand holder for my Maxspect bio blocks. I think the photos tell all you need to know but if you have any questions just ask.

I guess my question is why?
Because being upright they don't get as dirty and the pores don't clog as quick....or so I am told. Add to that the cost was nothing as I used left over scrap material. I had rejuvenated the blocks and wanted them to stay cleaner, what's not to like.

So keeping them clean, uprite, and up off of the bottom. Got it. I suppose that I never gave it that much thought. Free is always a plus.

Great idea! Another plus would be you could orient them along the flow path for maximum pore penetration and avoid dead spots on the bottom. I have issues with critters boring into the bottom of my bioblocks over time since there is little to no flow with them lying on the floor.

Yes plus some self cleaning with the water passing between the blocks and along their length.
