Skip the add on leds. Learn from my mistake. They are weak and only provide asthetics. I filled mine up and now they are sitting on top of my entertainment center waiting for me to list them to sell. Imo go with a retro kit from either rapidled or steve's leds. I have the rapidled kit and love it.

Mine is standard as well but there are 4 open slots for more LEDs.
I was thinking of adding 3 whites and 1 blue.
Are you upgrading the entire LED hood or just adding lights?

Hello. Fairly new to saltwater but I've had bio 29 for about 9 months. I replaced stock lights with Steves retro and love it. I won't kid that it takes a little carving under hood to install but a drummer and some goggles and couple hours and very nice. I would recommend getting the controller. It also had benefit of keeping tank couple degrees cooler. You will need to pay attention to how strong you run them or you will fry your corals as they can be way to strong. I would recommend getting another flow pump or two. I believe in a lot of flow in and thru your rocks. Think you will enjoy this a great deal.
