Bio media/filtration

I’m wondering what the best biological media is guys, I’m thinking I’m gonna go with the brightwell cubes or spheres. Also how much should you use in a 25 gallon? Do they ever need to be changed/taken out?

Your rock is your main bio. I like small pumice stones personally which is ther same as seachem matrix

Most packaged products have a recommendation for how much media you need per gallon. Many of the products can break down over time and compact or turn to dust so occasionally it needs to be replaced.
