Bio media in sump

I am setting up a 75 gallon tank I feel I am not using enough live rock could I put bio media in the sump it will have a filter sock in front of it and I will keep it clean

You use and like MarinePure blocks others also have success with Seachem Matrix bio media or Siporax. I recommend these because they are proven and effective for helping control Nitrates.
