I started using Bio Pellets about 4 days ago, went with the recommended amount for my Tank. I am starting to get cloudy water finally today and a white film on my glass. I am dosing with MicroBacter 7. My Birdsnest and Pocci arent looking like they like the cloudy water to much. How long should this normally last? Ive read this is a bacteria bloom. I am running two MP10's on opposing sides and Have a koralia 700 that I just moved from the top of the tank flowing up to the bottom of the tank where I was getting a buildup of Detrius. I have a bare bottom tank so Im trying to keep the bottom clean. Is there anything I should do while this bloom is happening?

What size Skimmer you have? I run Bio pellets and never dosed bacteria and did not have cloudy water

Bulk reef supply pellets in a TLF reactor. I have used an entire pack of the smallest one they offer and placed it all at one time in the reactor.

Reef Octo NWB 110. Have the outflow tube of the reactor right next to the skimmer intake. Getting super dark skimmate. I have a video of my reactor on my build thread. Using a BRS reactor and the bio pellets were in a bulk container at my LFS. Probably BRS

I believe that the cloudy water may come from the bacterial bloom when introducing so much bio-mass. Most start out with half the dose for bio-pellets the gradually increase. Putting the output from the reactor close to the skimmer also helps.

Don't change anything. Just let the bloom run usually takes 3-5 days just make sure to keep filters clean and pumps working properly.
