I'm starting to setup a small fluval 60 (29G all inclusive sump). I don't see any easy ways to incorporate a decent fuge and not have light bleed out to the display. Thinking it might be a better idea to go with a bio pellet reactor. Can anyone give me some insight on this topic? I do have a bulk head in the tank that was installed by the factory. I don't see it being very difficult to install it in the cabinet. Obviously it will have to be fairly compact if inside the stand.

If I remember correctly, that bulkhead is built for a drain for the tank to use during water changes, it may not be suitable for a biopellet reactor. You would also want a strong skimmer to deal with the outflow/slimey material that comes out of a biopellet reactor, something to keep in mind as you try to figure out where everything will go.

I decided not to incorporate Biopellets on my tank simply because nano aquariums have a limited amount of space for equipment and biopellets also aren't as effective in smaller water volumes. Not saying it can't work, it would just be difficult to get dialed in correctly.
