I built a bio reactor just for the heck of it. I think they are a silly invention and I don't need one but they look so cool that I needed to build one. I have all the building materials laying around so it only took an hour. Now I need to get some bio pellets and install the thing.
It will also not need a pump as the pump that feeds my skimmer will supply this and the skimmer and the algae filter. I may also connect that same pump to feed my Reverse UG filter, but I don't want to get to carried away. It is just a hobby and I like building things.

We won't make fun of you for trying to be hip. Well maybe a little.

You can make fun at me, I still think it is a stupid invention, but cool looking. When I get tired of it, I will turn it into something else. Maybe a flat screen TV or an orange juice press.
Besides, it's better than my skimmer

Your tank wont like bio pellets. Too new school. Your corals will laugh at them.

It will probably crash, but thats OK, it has to crash sometime. :jaw:

Nice job with the biopellet reactor......wait till you see what you will pay for the pellets.....Please do a DIY on those!

But better yet, I like the telephone on the right of this picture. I think I've seen one of those in the Smithsonian.

Every time I post that picture people comment on that phone. Remember, all phones used to look like that and that is my basement so that phone, or a similar one has been hanging there since the early 80s. I was thinking of making my own bio reactor pellets, I do have an idea, but I won't say what it is as it will probably kill everything in my tank and I will try it out in a small tank with local fish. I also don't want to put pellet manufacturers out of business.:smash:My blackworms have their own area in my workshop. :bounce:

You have to move away from Montana to a place that sells blackworms. My criteria for a living place is that it must have at least one ocean and at least two places that sell blackworms. :smash:
