Those of you who are running biopellets do you have to keep your alk lower

I ran BP's for years, and kept my alk ~ 7.5dKH.

Did you have growth at that level I wax thinking 8.0-8.3 is that too high

I had both great growth and color. That alk is fine.

i've seen better growth and color with alk 7-7.3 dKh yet i'd agree that low 8.x is fine too. like anything, take note of where your salt mixes at and keep consistent.

I get pretty good growth @8~9 running BPs.

IMO, the issue is not the methods used, but the nutrient levels attained, and if you keep them very low, you may want alk in the 6.5-7.5 or 8 dKH range.
