Bio pellets

My nitrates were very high... was using chaeto and it was growing like mad but did not see any reduction.. started using pellets and added a marine pure block
Nitrates have come down from over 90 to about 10...phosphates at .10
Can I just stop using bio pellets or just it be done gradually?

Gradually decrease would be my suggestion. If do take the reactor down make sure you empty bio pellets left in a reactor and water turn into a hydrogen sulphide factory and start to smell.
