Bio pellets

Should I run this bio pellets from my IM reactor 7x a week? Especially I’m breeding clownfish so I feed them 3x a day and I have 6 pairs with one water and sump running to it

so which one is much better to use? Chaeto reactor or Bio pellets reactor? For reducing nitrate and phosphate

If you are going to run a bio pellet reactor don't turn it off . The pellets got to keep moving. And it won't do much for phosphate tbh . Very good for nitrate tho .

Those 2 reactors do 2 different things. I would first post the size of aquarium and details of your setup including parms. Maybe you might be able to get some good advice with detailed description. maybe some water changes might be an easier solution.

Also might want to see what breeders are doing for feeding etc. I would think small tank with water changes might be best till the small fry get large enough for aquarium

So I have 2 of 10 gallons and 20 gallon aquarium but same water and same sump, I have 45 gallon sump but not literally full let say 20-25 gallons of water volume for it and my nitrate is around 10-15 using salifert test kits and .10 for phosphate.

I feed twice a day now, before it’s 4x a day for my clownfish but brown algae keeps coming back or they trigger to get back

Are Nitrates or Phosphates main problem? What are the levels?
Carbon dosing ( biopellets) will have more impact on nitrates, but also secondary, smaller impact on phosphates.
Chaeto will decrease phosphates more than nitrates.
Decreasing nutrients is not a guarantee that your "nuisance"algae will disappear.

Not necessary but I think it’s my light lol I have a good sump and my levels are 10-15 for nitrate and .10 for phosphate, I have chaeto but not enough space for my sump but will fix it, for bio pellets I’m planning to add some

Your levels are OK, especially Nitrates. If you want to lower phosphates a bit, chaeto might be better solution. Biopellets are difficult to scale and it might take few weeks or longer to impact nitrate level. I find liquid carbon dosing better alternative. it would eventually lower phosphates too.

15 nitrate ain't that bad . I wouldn't bother with bio pellets with nitrate that low . Unless you want to go under 5

ahh I see now. Yeah 10-15 nitrates is not an issue and .05 to .1 phosphate is fine. I would just continue doing what you are doing. Sounds like to me they are in check.
