bio spira setting up qt?

hello, can I use bio spira to setup a qt ? right now just started cycle my 24 nano and really don't no what to do. just need a way to keep amonia free but was thinking about using this stuff to do a instant cylcle. im going to go with a 10 gallon and just maybe a clown and basslet just don't want to put to much a bio load on it. thought about asking my lfs if has any seeded floss and use that in the back of my filter but not sure hes got anything like that on hand or not. just hate to add fish directly to my tank but just not sure how im going to get the qt seeded? so thought about bio spira ?

Yes you can use bio spira. I would use almost the whole bottle. Try and give it a day to circulate. Is there a reason you are rushing to QT? Are your fish sick?

Thanks, appreciate the bump and reply. im just wanting to set up fish for the first time and don't wnt the amonia build up. im plan on buying a 10 gallon to quarantine 6 weeks and was just going to put maybe two fish maybe a clown and something else to quarantine then introduce to my 24 nano. I just started the cycle using 24lbs of live rock in my nano and dont want introduce fish directly to the nano . thanks

Okay so you currently have no fish? That is good, helps a TON. Get all of your equipment and add water to the tank, add the bio spira and test for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate after 1 day. As stated in the guide, you need to have NO ammonia or nitrite. If you need anymore help please feel free to message me. Good luck and thanks for quarantining!

Thats correct I have no fish. thanks for the help I definitely appreciate that. I unfortunately was one of those type that had to learn the hard way. I had a setup a few years back and had picked up a royal gramma from another pet store and added it directly to my existing setup. long story short wasn't long until everything in the tank floated up and between being upset and tired of having to go to walmart to buy ro water every time, I just gave up. any how never again will I add a fish directly to my dt without qt. again thanks for the help going to purchase the bio spira very soon .
