Hello all. Just looking at an older bottle I had of biospira and I has a sell by date stuck on it. Was just wondering if it actually expires and shouldn’t be used? I’ve had a QT tank set up for about a week that’s been running a HOB with a used filter sock from my main tank and about 5-8 gallons of water from my main as well. Wanted it to be cycled quickly or skip the cycle.

Bacteria might be dead, it probably won't hurt to use it but it might not help you out either.

I'd use it but test, only ammonia control matters. If you dose it, then input a tiny amount of liquid cycling ammonia, see if it moves down on your tester within a day that shows dead or alive bac
