So i just got a biocube 14 gallon tank, and i want to start with corals on it when its all done cycling. I got it used, and it has the stock lighting i believe. I just want to know, how i should use the lighting options??

If you plan on keeping the stock lighting on it I would change out the bulbs first and foremost unless you know for sure they are fairly new. I have a 14 gallon biocube as well, and I swapped out the stock lighting for a Nanobox retro fit because I wanted to keep the hood. It was pretty easy to install, and I've had decent coral growth with it.

i would upgrade to a AI prime thats what i have on my 29 gal biocube

The guy i boought it from said that he just changed them... Im just wonderig what i should keep on and for how long...

ok buddy see how there is 4 buttons you always wanna leave the 2 one alone and always wanna leave rhe moon light on but right before your about to turn the to day or night you use the lighter blue so your corals adjust that there about to wake up or go to bed you wanna leave that light on for a hour or so untill you turn the other light off or on but the night light will be the dark blue and should always be on day light is blue and white and fade light is the lighter blue

im sorry you always wanna leave the 3 button alone thats the fans not the 2 button

my tank has only two buttons lol.. 1 turns white lights with fan, the other turns blue lights! than i got a different plug that i put it in a outlet and lights come on! So i still don't know which one to put on and for how long. I just set it up and now its cycling but i want to learn the lightings before its done cycling lol. Someone help!

The separate cord is moon lights, you can use them. But I'd plug into lamp timer. Your fish will need a dark period.
The other buttons each control a power compact. You can turn them both on/off at the same time. It just depends how crazy you wanna go with timers.
Personally I connected the blue bulb in the socket that turns on fans, white in the other socket. If you have each on a separate timer you can have a dusk/dawn type effect with blue on alone before your whites come on

Here are some pictures. It had looks like its settled down and clear! The power circulation pump looks way to big need to change that... Came with the tank... Thats the blue lights and white lights that turn on with fan.

Someone also recommend me a good circulation pump thats not to expesive but has good flow.

I used to run my BC14 lights on timers, Blues on an hour before and after whites. For example: Blues turn on at 12:00 noon, Whites on at 1:00 pm, Whites off at 9:00 pm, Blues off at 10:00 pm. Generally 6-8 hours of whites and 8-10 hours of blue is good. Nothing is written in stone so do what works for you.
