Biocube 16! 7/8 months old.

Hey everyone!
New to the forum and I have two questions.

1. How does the tank look, how’s it maturing?

2. I added a damsel several months ago then added a pair of clowns. Within a few weeks they all died due to ick/velvet maybe. I let the tank sit for over 3/4 months without fish. Just the other day I added a domino damsel and it slowly died within a week.

took water sample to LFS and parameters and salinity were on point. The only thing was my pH was about 7.6 or so.

Does anyone have any ideas of advise? Any thing helps!

What water are you using to mix salt? Is it RO/DI or tap?

How’s your aeration? Can’t see videos on my phone so can’t see water movement.

How do you acclimate your fish? Where do you get them from?

Many possibilities here so the more details you provide the easier it will be to help narrow down the cause.

-so the temp is at 79 degrees.
- I use only RO and premixed salt water in the jug from LFS
-As Far as aeration.. I have a bio cube 16 and only has one small pump (guy at shop said I may need another wave maker)
- and acclamation I did a drip on all the fish for about a hour and half both times.

There are many fish health experts on here who can advise better but a couple things jump to mind.

Are all these fish from your LFS? For them all to die within a week suggests less than optimal health to begin with.

Low oxygen could also be the culprit leading to both the death and the stress that allowed the other diseases to get a foothold. While there seems to be decent flow in the water it looks like there is almost no surface agitation. A still surface, with the completely enclosed top of the bio cube could certainly lead to oxygen issues.

If your parameters are truly within range (I’d use multiple test sources to verify) I would start with a powerhead to help oxygen exchange or direct the return nozzle upwards to cause turbulence at the surface.

Beyond those ideas I’ll let the fish disease/health experts chime in.
