Maintenance day today, took some top down shots. So far the SPS seem to be doing alright. Didn't get anything done this weekend between the bad weather and it being father's day, I decided to just enjoy some family time. This week I'm off so I'll try to make some progress.

Mounted and set up the Hydros WaveEngine. I still didn't get the Icecap 2k yet. The intial set up was amazingly easy, can't wait to get the pump so I can see what it can do!

That’s exciting man! Can you run hydor koralias on that, or is it only dc pumps?

From what I've been reading and looking at the WaveEngine it is DC pumps only.

Yes I really like the fact that with certain pumps you don't need the power bricks for them it runs off the WaveEngine. Those are the one thing I feel gets out of control especially when the tank size starts getting larger.

Just a quick update, not much going on with the tank. I have been setting up appointments to get the next knee surgery done. They have to graft a new piece of cartilage as I damaged a large section and they are afraid if I don't take care of it now I'll get arthritis in the knee within a couple of years. So I will be unable to put pressure on my leg for 4 weeks so I'm trying to get everything together so my wife and kids can help with water changes. I may still try and work on the frag tank build but I'm not pushing to finish it.

That’s a bummer man! I wish you a fast recovery! I can’t imagine having my wife do water changes and feedings. She loves the tank, but........I just can’t picture it. Hahaha! Sure they will do great though.

Haha yea she keeps telling me she is going to help! I think my daughter will be doing most of it I've seen her sneak in to give the fish extra food and she is always running the magnet around so she "can see in better" ;Hilarious

Got a new toy so I can trim up some of the LPS.

I tried it out on the Frammer and it worked great! I think maybe I'll try to sell a couple of the pieces, but I'm not sure how to count the heads since they are all splitting. Here are the 2 frags in question:

I think this one is 2 heads splitting into 3

This one I'm a little bit more torn on it could be 3 or 4 I'm not sure. Anyone have experience with this?

I’m no expert, but if I had to guess I’d say the last pic is three heads splitting into four. I’ve never fragged LPS. I need to with my hammer soon.

First attempt at videoing the tank, didn't come out to badly. I still need to figure out how to rotate it with the video being blurry. I also sold a few frags and ordered the Icecap 2K, it says it should be here on Wednesday!!
