BioCube 29 flow too strong for fish? powerhead/return placement?

I was wondering if you all think there is too much current in my BioCube for the new little clownfish? Does it look like they're struggling? If so, how should I turn the powerhead (upper right corner) and return to make it better?

(Just running the stock pump, which I've read isn't that strong, but it seems to be creating quite a current in here! Also the powerhead is a Hydor Koralia nano 425.)

I am running exactly what are plus an additional powerhead and my clown is good.

This sounds so silly, but these fish seem to move a lot more than my freshwater fish....

I have many kinds of FW fish but generally they are all a bit more...relaxed than these little ones! I thought maybe they were having trouble! I'm a nervous fishkeeper. Lol

I have a gyre 130 in my biocube and the return is a Rio 6hf. You could add another power head and still be fine with flow.

Ha!!

This morning they are swimming all around together! They were at the front of the tank when I peeked on them. Now they're swimming around a rock. Lol Thanks for asking, @helen ann!

They're sooo cute and wiggly. Here's hoping they don't bite me when my hands are in the tank sometime. [emoji15]

Hmmmmmmmmm, I wouldn't even think about this for at least 6 months.

As long as the tank is cycled and stable, and she keeps it that way, it will be fine. she's been gaining knowledge and asking a lot of questions, so I don't think she'll rush into anything.

The 6/8/whatever month rule isn't based on science. people give those figures so you have time to gain reefing knowledge. anemones can be difficult to keep and a dead one can nuke a small tank.

Waiting is always best - for the tank to mature and stabilize, and to gain knowledge. That timeframe is up to the reefer. so your point was still valid.
