Biocube 29 Intank fuge

Ok ia have biocube 29g I am using the intank media basket and fuge. I am using the jbj nano fuge light.
I got a small portion of chaetomorpha and have yet to see any growth and some of it has turned brown.I have the light turned on opposite the tank lights which is about 14 hours.
IS there some kind of trick to getting chaeto to grow?

You may be stripping the Po4(phosphate) too hard.

That might be it. I am waiting on phosphate test kit. Ordered it couple days ago. Maybe ill try pulling the chemi pure for a week

Also try leaving the light on 24 hours a day for a while

Ok i trimmed away the nasty parts and stuck the healthy part back in. Ill try leaving the light on 24/7 too. Are there any other algae i should consider for the fuge?

Youll want to keep checkin in on the chato imo. If its growing well and not getting covered in detritus and stuff keep going with it. Bu really no, imo. al lot of the rest is just visual appeal.
