Biocube 29 lighting

Hi guys!!

I have an biocube 29 with stock lighting. I understand that you can't get affordable lights that are very good but if anyone can recommend lights for my tank I'd really appreciate it! Looking to spend no more than 200 and I just want something simple easy and that is better quality than my stock lights. Any ideas ? Thank you!!

I did the Steve's LED upgrade on my bc29. Basic diy kit was $200. I upgraded with the typhoon controller for an additional $75. It took me a little longer to do (1 day) . Directions are a little hard to sort thru different downloads off their website, but after all was said and done it was worth it. I thrive on challenges.

I installed a nanobox retro (retrofit) in my biocube. It's a little more expensive than steves, but it think the quality is superior. All the LEDs are on 2 array boards, mounted to nice heatsink. Perfect color balance on the array; white, lime, blue, royal blue, violet. I decided to splurge and get the bluefish mini controller, and it is worth every penny!!!

My advice, you'll look at your tank every day. Buy something that you will enjoy every day, and not think, "I wish I had done that."

steves leds if you can afford it or go 3 fussion truelumen pro and 3 deep water blue trulumen pro and the current usa controller works great and is in your budget
will fit in hood with just removing stock bulbs retain the fans and led moonlight.

I have the Current Trulumen Pro Led Retrofit Kit on my Oceanic Biocube 29 its ok for like $110
Running 1 marine fusion and 453nm blue.Reef is 4.5 months old so far; but yeah could use about 1 or two more blues.No frag deaths yet.Knock Knock
