Biocube 29 pump question

I have had the rio 6 hf for about 4 years I guess and it has ran great. But when I turn it off for feeding or cleaning it makes a lot of clicking and takes forever to get it going again. Is there a better brand or model now I should look into getting? Or stick with getting a new rio? Thanks!

If would remove and clean the return pump. If it were me, I would just buy a replacement return pump and swap it out. The clicking sounds might be the pump cranking up for a bit.

I have tried cleaning it a couple of times. I think it's just wore out. I guess I'll go with another rio
