My BioCube 29 is confusing me a bit...the water level in the display part of the tank is high, but the water level in the back compartments is low.

Is it possible to top off the compartments without adding to the water in the display tank? If not, how can I raise the water level in the back? My heater is almost at the minimum water level line....

Hope this makes sense. @helen ann? (Not sure I'm doing the tag right!)

Fill up the back and check on your max/min line too. Is your heater in the compartment with the return pump? If so I would recommended moving it to a different chamber.

Your main tank and chamber 1 will always be at the same level. Chambers 2 and 3 can be adjusted. It really does not matter where you add the water as the main tank and chamber 1 will always level out. If you are not using the bioballs that came with the tank, you can ignore the max line. The min line is still critical so your return pump is in enough water to operate. I personally like my chambers 2 and 3 pretty high because I want as much water in the system as possible. i don't use the bioballs so my max level is well above the max line.

I also prefer my heater in the same chamber as the return pump because I can easily see the heaters led lights thru the window.

Sorry, missed this tag , I run my BC pretty high in the back but I don't use the bioballs.
Looks like you got your answer.
