I know it's been beaten to death, but here's where I may differ from most, I have no intentions of running a media basket and would like to open up the 2 available chambers for a skimmer. I do believe they recommend the heater with the return pump. I'm curious what the largest skimmer I can run. I'm keeping the hood and ordered a NanoBox Retro fit LED upgrade kit, I like how the Kessil's and AI Prime HD's push the light but don't want to deal with the wash thats associated with them.

Going to try and get all the necessary BC32 upgrades out of way the prior to set up, this way I won't have to mess with it later. The NanoBox retro kit (ordered), MightyJet DC Return Pump @326GPM or the Sicce Syncra 1.5 @ 357GPM, haven't decided on a powerhead yet, like the Vortech MP10QD but also very interested in the Maxspect XF330 WController. LMK if I'm missing something.

Goals are nice simple colorful corals & hardy fish, but like to have everything in check if I decide to try something a little more......Thanks.

i have a tunze 9001 dc skimmer that i used on my biocube that worked awesome, sell it cheap to ya

also i have a rapidled kit with a bluefish controller ( full controller) with power supply and 3 channel controlable that uses stock hood

I have the Nanobox ordered, but like to see some pix of the LED kit and the Skimmer, I don't mind saving a few bux for quality products.
Thanks.

How much for the skimmer?

That's the skimmer I'd suggest! Btw, look at Random Flow Generators from Vivid too.

My son did a Steve's LED upgrade to his hood. It grows anything.

I have the older Biocube 29, but I put an Aquamax WS-1 in the middle rear chamber. Looking at tank from the front, right chamber has heater, middle has Aquamax and media basket, left chamber has ATO and 2 pumps (return and algae reactor). The Aquamax sticks up through the back lid a bit, but it works great for me, producing good skimmate. I made a little shelf for it out of egg crate to get it to sit at the right height. I also did a Steve's LED upgrade several years ago and it also works great for me.

Thanks,
Joe
