I’m not to concerned currently since I just added water for the first time and hasn’t cycled yet, but I am looking to correct this issue when I do my water change after the tank cycles.

So to start off, I just filled my biocube up all from chamber 1. Once my tank is cycled, should I siphon our chamber 2 and refill the tank back up from chamber 3 with the pump on? Or can I fill the biocube back up, after the cycle, from the main display with the pump on?

Currently all back 3 chambers are completely filled, and water level from the display is about 1/2 below where it should be.

For the cycle I’m be using frozen raw jumbo shrimp.

Look at the back left hand side of the tank you will see a window for your min and Max level. (Chamber 3).

During water changes I shut off the pumps and use a gallon pitcher and remove from the DT. I add back in the display until I have enough water to turn on the pumps, than slowly add into chamber 3 until I hit the proper level. There are probably other methods, but this one works for us.

The way my tank is setup, the back left is against a wall. I was told that the water level window wasn’t good and doesn’t need to be followed.

I think what I’ll have to do is siphon out of chamber 2 though since it is all the way at the top.

You are correct ignore the min/max window on chamber 3... I have mine filled just above the max line which allows chamber 2 to have enough water to flow through the media basket... you don’t want too much water to where it is not flowing down through chamber 2... hope this helps

I upgraded from the BC 32 about a year or so ago, and if I remember right, the only back chamber you want to the top is the right chamber. The middle chamber you will want at a lower level especially since it looks like you are using a media rack. If you are going to run filter floss in top rack the media rack, you want the floss above water level. The left chamber water level will balance out with the middle chamber water level.

The only way to correctly get your levels where you want them is with the return pump running.

Pretty sure they got rid of the min/max lines in the left chamber on the BC 32 and now only show a min level to assure there is enough water in the chamber for the return pump.

Overall, you should not be able to see the water level below the black trim in the display part of the tank if everything is running correctly.
