BIOCUBE CALLOUT!!

Here is my BC29. My wife got it for me for Christmas last year and I've since gotten a 90g as well.

That's nice! What light kit is that?

I put it together. It is 5 TrueLumen Pro LED strips, 1 stunner strip, and 2 of the built in LED bars that were already in the hood. I had a piece of clear acrylic custom cut, stripped the hood, used the existing mounting holes to screw in the acrylic, and then worked to put everything back in possible. I kept the 2 stock fans, added one more, and even controller the fans and smaller LED bars with the switches on the hood.

Looks good!

I'm working on my recovery now
Coralife Biocube 14
Steves Fully Loaded SPS retrofit LEDs suspended 12" off surface
Running a heater and chaeto in chamber 1
Chemipure elite and supply pump for Aquatop Media reactor running NPX Bioplastics in chamber 2
Chamber 3 has a filter sock in it with my return pump inside the sock, with a tunze osomolator nano ATO
Jebao doser running Reef Grow Cal Alk Mag

I really like the idea of the pump inside the filter sock ! Ingenious!!

So does all the debris that makes it past just settle into the third chamber and then siphon out that way?
Well the debris pretty much all gets trapped in the sock and I switch out my socks about every 3-4 days, I originally did it to stop the Biocube micro bubble debacle and it worked, it was a plus that it filtered also.

Anyone get the biocube 32g yet??? Im thinking to pull the trigger on this one! even though i just got my 14g lol... i have to buy new lighting for my biocube 14g, so maybe i should just add money and buy the 32g which has the leds already.

BC32?!? I'm gonna have to look this guy up!!

The LEDs on the BC32 are a nice upgrade but they still won't allow you more than softies and some LPS.

Do you know why it crashed? Did any of the pretty stuff come back? It was looking really good....

Joey, I think you meant to send that to me :) you can follow my thread here My rimless 14g Biocube reef recovery
https://www.reef2reef.com/index.php?threads/My-rimless-14g-Biocube-reef-recovery.264110/.. Long story short, I didn't like the substrate I had before the crash so I switched it out, thus starting a whole new cycle and crashing my tank. Rookie mistake and I went against my better judgement. Went from Hawaiian black sand to Tahitian moon sand..but I'm recovering slowly. Hope you follow!

Yea, I thought I was sending it to you, but it attached it to anther. I was curious. I like to learn from others mishaps. Did any of your inverts make it?

No, everything died except my fish ,some of my uglier Zoas and those dang GSPs lol some stuff I transferred to a buddy's tank but ended up letting him have bc the corals never really bounced back.

This is mine that I've had for about a year, not very impressive, but I can't afford to buy a ton of corals and fish.

Beautiful tank! Thanks for sharing! We all start somewhere and after a year of being set up its probably just hitting its sweet spot anyways. Especially if you've been keeping up on your params and WCs.
