Whoa. That looks ridiculous. I'm getting a new light soon. As soon as I do im getting an ato.I’m running a AI Prime Hd on my Biocube32. If you do decide to change from the stock lights make sure you have a ato if you don’t already . Here’s a pic of what my tank looks like .
I love my biocube because I rarely ever have to put water in besides my weekly water changes! I run a 16 hd ai prime on my 20 gallon water box and I’m not a big fan, but I think stock lights work well enough for some coral species! I have always wanted to cut the hood and add a new light just never had the guts to actually cutI’m running a AI Prime Hd on my Biocube32. Diatoms are more of a dusty brown typically indicative to the end of the cycle. You‘d know if you had dinos via google image. Maybe post some pics...I've thought about it being pests or maybe even my crabs annoying them because they definitely do that. I also am possibly battling dinos but am leaning more towards diatoms but I will need to get them under a microscope to determine that. Any tips or things I should look out for to figure out if I have a pest problem? Thanks
Yeah I feel like the lights are probably ok given other people are able to grow coral with them but I don't like that it's either straight white or not at all. I'd love the ability to have a mix of blues and white so it's not soooooo white. I'll post pics but i'm almost sure it's dinos.Diatoms are more of a dusty brown typically indicative to the end of the cycle. You‘d know if you had dinos via google image. Maybe post some pics...
Corals can thrive with the stock lighting, but need a lot of the white to get them the right amount. I personally think it was too white, so swapped it for something else.
