Can I remove the bioballs in an established tank, and replace them with a media basket or nah?

Does your tank have live rock or any other form of biological filtration besides those bioballs? If not, you cannot remove those bioballs.

I removed the bioballs in mine and put an inTank media basket with filter floss on the top layer, chemipure in the middle layer, and purigen in the bottom layer. Google in tank media baskets for biocubes and start looking around. YouTube has some videos on them as well.

I read the question wrong. I'm sorry.

Do you have live rock in your established tank?
