Hello I am setting up a biocube 14 after being out of the hobby for almost 9 years, back when fluval 402's ruled and Iwasaki halides
and VHO, undergravel filters and bioballs were all the rage. Walking into my local reef aquarium supplier and looking around brought me
around to the dawn of understanding that my knowledge was truly antiquated. Then I got sucked in again. I can't believe how much more interesting the hobby has become. So Ill cut to the chase....
I need some expert opinions on the following question...
If I just add one panorama Pro LED module to my existing stock biocube compact flourescents will the lighting be sufficient for sps corals
down the way after my tank is set up?
All answers appreciated > farcical included.
Thanks.

I'm not the best on knowledge of the lighting that your using, but I have other comments. For sps I would be more concerned with random water flow and stability of water parameters.

Also I know what you mean about the advancements. When I first started I had the newest filter chalked full of bio balls and I was the envy of the crowds. The way tanks are set up now are completely different and that's what drew me in

Hello and thanks for replying!
Water movement is one of my concerns. I narrowed water movement down to using reefkeeper lite and the on / off water movement in conjunction with a power head that supports it.
Im concerned that random water flow in a tank (nano) might cause water spills. Any thoughts there?

Bare bottom has helped me in one of my nano tanks. The I can point my flow to the bottom first IMO it allows the flow to dissipate a bit before its back to the surface.
