I want to upgrade my lightning to leds. does any one have any suggestions on from where I was looking at rapid led but don't know if I want dimmable or non or what solderless is. should I get the purple leds I just need some help please

hey i dont know much, but soldering is when you have to melt the wire into the led thing with a solder gun. If you have a biocube, you can just strip the lighting and insert the kit you buy from the rapidled place with a couple of screws and maybe an hour.

Now what i suggest is you buy heat sink (drilled/tapped ). Buy the leds you want, enough to fill the heat sink.
Get a solder kit, get some wire, and have some fun making your own led lights. You will also need drivers i believe.
And as you go you can add stuff you want such as little fans, splash guard.

Not sure how the price would compare considering it would be all in the LEDS you choose, how many leds you want and such.

GOOD LUCK, i have never done this so i might be a little off

I've asked the same question and Steve's LEDs was recommended. They have a kit that you can buy requiring no soldering. You just use screws to attach it and it fits under the splash guard. You can buy it incomplete for about $75 less, incomplete meaning that you do the soldering yourself. Good luck!

Check out Daniels glowing nano in 90. I built him a led fixture to go in his hood. You can get everything from rapid, or look around and you can find some of it cheaper.

If you want some help give me a pm, I'd be more than happy to help ya.
